Journal Submissions Guidelines

CASE ANALYSIS

Eligibility

All the Students of Law (undergraduate or postgraduate) from Indian and Foreign University, Researchers, Academicians, Advocates, NGO personals, Social Activists, Judiciary Members & Bureaucrats are eligible for this competition.

Guidelines

  • Submission must be the original work of the contributor.

  • Submissions must not be published or sent for consideration elsewhere.

  • Co-Authorship is allowed for a maximum of 2 authors.

  • Heavily plagiarised papers will lead to immediate rejection of the submission. For the convenience of the authors, the plagiarism limit for the paper is 10%.

  • The file name must be the exact title of the paper. Due to the non-disclosure policy the authors are requested to not mention their names or personal details anywhere in the document sent to us.

  • The names of the author/s must be clearly mentioned in the body of the email along with the name of the institution, year of study and their contact number.

  • Submissions must be in Times New Roman font, with size 12 and line spacing 1.5.

  • All footnotes must be in Times New Roman font, with size 10 and line spacing 1.

  • Submissions must be made in .doc/.docx formats only.

  • Submissions must be sent through email to publish.juls@gmail.com and the subject should strictly be “Submission of Manuscript to JULS II of III”

Guidelines

​

  • All submissions must follow the Bluebook style 20th of citation; non-conformity will be a ground for rejection.

  • Submissions must be in Times New Roman font, with size 12 and line spacing 1.5, alignment justify.

  • All footnotes must be in Times New Roman font, with size 10 and line spacing 1.

  • Submissions must be made in MS Word only.

  • The documents must not contain any identification markers. Eg: Name of the author after the title, author as recognized by Word or any other meta data.

  • Submissions must be sent through email to publish.juls@gmail.com and the subject should be “Manuscript for Volume II Issue IV”

 

 

FORMAT TO BE FOLLOWED FOR CASE ANALYSIS

 

  1. TITLE - Name of the exact case and party position i.e. Petitioner, Appellant, Respondent, Defendant, Plaintiff or Applicant etc as the situation maybe.

  2. Bench & Quorum of Judges – Mention the Court, name of judge(s).

  3. History and Background of the Case – Describe how the matter reached the court. (300 words+)

  4. Facts of the Case – Write about which part of the judgement/decision was relevant to the whole circumstances of the case. (300 words+)

  5. Issues – The question of Law that is being urged by the parties. (150 words)

  6. Arguments – Contentions by the arguing counsels and application of law based on facts. [If you think that the court’s attention was left out by the counsels, them the writer can also put forth the argument] (300 words+)

  7. Laws Applied – Exact section and provision to be extracted using double quotes “__”. (100 words)

  8. Judgment – Opinion by the Court is analysed by the author in his/her own understanding. (300 words)

  9. Rationale – Analysis of various reasoning’s given by the judge in support of the opinion. (300 words)

  10. Critical Analysis – The author will expose the ramification of the judgment and support it with various case laws. (700 words+)

  11. Conclusion – (300 words+)

Review Process

​

  1.      The Editorial Board usually takes up to 14 days for the review of submissions.

  2.      The editors have the power to ask for certain editing's in the paper if found plagiarized.

  3.      Upon acceptance of the manuscript for journal publication, the same shall not be published on any other platform.

​

Receipt of submission will be intimated to the authors within two weeks of submission. Authors will be periodically updated on the status of review of their piece.
